Extra large surf in Hawaii !!!
Waves to about 25 feet pounded
the Northwest facing shores
of all the hawaiian islands today.
The biggest swell this season so
far had
light winds and sunny day,
making conditions perfect for the
big waves riding events to go on.
Eddie did go at Waimea
and Tow in World Cup at Jaws went
as well...
Mike
Stewart Bodyboarding contest didn't go,
because Pipeline was a white water
as far as we could possibly see out on the ocean.
Hawaiian Garret Mcnamara and brazilian
Rodrigo Resende took the $70.000 check for the first Tow-in World Cup contest
ever in 20 to 30 feet surf.
In total, 13 two-man teams contested
the Jaws/Maui event.
Mike Parsons scored the only
perfect 10
of the entire event finishing second
place with Brad Gerlach.

Meanwhile in Oahu,
Waimea was beautiful with 20 feet
waves, light Southeast winds and sunny skies.
Perfect day for the contest in
memorial of Eddie Aikau.
Kelly Slater proved to be the best
surfer ever and
took the $55.000 check for the
best 4 waves ridden score in the event with319 points.

Around 10:55am there was a huge
set closing the bay
