Extra large surf in Hawaii !!!

Waves to about 25 feet pounded the Northwest facing shores
of all the hawaiian islands today.
The biggest swell this season so far had
light winds and sunny day,
making conditions perfect for the big waves riding events to go on.
Eddie did go at Waimea
and Tow in World Cup at Jaws went as well...
Mike Stewart Bodyboarding contest didn't go,
because Pipeline was a white water as far as we could possibly see out on the ocean.

Hawaiian Garret Mcnamara and brazilian Rodrigo Resende took the $70.000 check for the first Tow-in World Cup contest ever in 20 to 30 feet surf.
In total, 13 two-man teams contested the Jaws/Maui event.
Mike Parsons scored the only perfect 10
of the entire event finishing second place with Brad Gerlach.
Complete Results:
1. Garrett McNamara/Rodrigo Resende (Hawaii/Brazil) - 143.6 points
2. Brad Gerlach/Mike Parsons (USA) - 132.4

Meanwhile in Oahu,
Waimea was beautiful with 20 feet waves, light Southeast winds and sunny skies.
Perfect day for the contest in memorial of Eddie Aikau.
Kelly Slater proved to be the best surfer ever and
took the $55.000 check for the best 4 waves ridden score in the event with319 points.

Outside reefs were going off everywhere around the islands.

Around 10:55am there was a huge set closing the bay

Just compare this wave with the house and the cliff on the back...
