It's bay time !!
Awesome large surf on the North
Shore.
Waimea bay was breaking 15 to 18
feet with some 20 feet sets early in the day,
North, Northwest direction with
no winds in the morning and light
West, Southwest in the afternoon.
Waimea in the first part of the
day

Crowd???
The shorebreak was finally happen
Not big, neither consistent enough
for the EDDIE, but
beautiful for everybody else whom
like big surfing.
The Quiksilver In Memory of Eddie
Aikau big wave event is on stand by this all week.
There are another couple of extra
large swells on Hawaii's way,
one starting tomorrow night into
Thursday reaching heights of 20 to 30 feet,
the largest swell yet, and
another large West, Northwest swell
is expected to arrive Sunday, but not as big.
We need to pray harder for better
winds.
Stay tuned for the updates and
happenings!!!

HAWAIIAN THOUGHTS:
"The climatological average
based on 1968-2002
for the first double overhead swell
on North Shores for the new season is September 17th (+/- 9 days).
For high surf levels (15 feet face),
the average is September 29th (+/- 12 days).
The first Waimea day (25+ face)
averages to November 11th (+/- 28 days)(Pat Caldwell)."
"No matter how we choose
to go into the water,
whether it is surfing big waves,
surfing small waves, sailing, canoeing or swimming.
It is important that we can enjoy
ourselves and find peace(Clyde Aikau)."
