WWW !!

I had to nickname this season as the WWW.
Bad Weather and Winds Winter.
There are non-stop waves and swells, but what a bad wind and weather patterns.
South, Southwest winds again today, messy 6 to 10 feet surf on the North Shore
with rain in the morning and a bit sunny in the afternoon.
There are two new large swells expected to hit Hawaii:
first one by Late Sunday into Monday and another one on the middle of next week.
Both swells are expected to be around high surfing warning levels and they should maintain the surf
big for the entire week.
The Tow In World Cup 2004 was postponed for Monday.
maybe the swell or winds are not supposed to be good enough for it.
Standing by for the swell on Thursday.

The first World Qualifying Series event on the Association of Surfing Professionals Tour(ASP):
the $10,000.00 Ezekiel Faith Riding Pro at Sunset beach, presented by Sobe Drinks and KPOI 97.5 FM
was postponed again today due to the messy surf at Sunset.
Past Winners: 2003 Shane Beschen, 2002 Dan Malloy, 2001 Kahea Hart, 2000 Myles Padaca.

HAWAIIAN THOUGHTS:

"The climatological average based on 1968-2002
for the first double overhead swell on North Shores for the new season is September 17th (+/- 9 days).
For high surf levels (15 feet face), the average is September 29th (+/- 12 days).
The first Waimea day (25+ face) averages to November 11th (+/- 28 days)(Pat Caldwell)."
