New large swell with half day of good conditions.

The new Northwest swell was just about 15 to 20 feet (faces) this morning,
picking up by the minute...
Some 25 feet sets were seen around 9 am with light winds and good conditions, but
just before noon the winds came onshore and it was all over for today.
The Pipeline Bodysurfing Classic waiting period started today until next week Friday, February 4th and
it was called on by contest director at 7:30 am but
the water patrol refused to do the water safety today due to previsions of the extra large,
treacherous, dangerous conditions.
After some complains from some and lots of relief from others
it was the right call.
