Boogie girls ripping 6 to 10 feet waves at Pipeline!!!
The final day of the
Turtle Bay Resort World Championship
of Women Bodyboarding
was on today with some excellent
6 to 10 feet waves at Pipeline and Back Door.
.
The best conditions in 13 years
of event showed the whole world what
women's bodyboarding is all about.
I wondering why the all crew of
the Surfer Girl movie never showed up at Pipeline for the two days of the
women bodyboarding contest with epic Pipeline?????
For me and many people on the beach
today,
all the girls who charge Pipeline
today are the true Surfer Girls.
WE all ripped. I am so proud of
every single one of you out there today.
Natasha Sagardia a 15 years old
from Puerto Rico finished 13th in her first year ever in Hawaii and she
was going big out there.
I had Stephanie Pettersen/Australia(5
times Pipeline champion) in my heat before the quarters and I advanced
in 1st with Neymara in second. Sorry Pipe queen...
Leila Alli had 10's riding
a sick barrel to Back Door but lost by interference in the quarters finishing
9th.
Claudia Santos/Brazil(4th place
finalist 2 years on the row) finished 9th as well missing out for me and
Neymara again in the quarters finals.
In the semis I needed one more
ok wave and I would made...well...You know me, never give it up...
Neymara Carvalho/Brazil finished
7th overall and I finished 5th.
Geraldine Gogin from Peru used
all her hours of training at Pipeline, caught some good barrels and finished
equal 5th.
The final started with Aoi Koike/Japan
pulling an interference against Heloise Bourroux/France and she finished
4th.

The battle for the Pipeline crown
was between Kira LLewellyn/Australia and
Karla Costa Taylor/Brazil.
They got real awesome waves but
Kira had the best three and took her first Pipeline title.
