Nice surf !!!

Surf was good today, not as big as yesterday,
but fun 2 to 4+ feet with good conditions.
It was raining and overcast all day, even in town.
I went to Ala Moana beach to support my "gatinho" in the life guard test.
Town was small, on shore and raining as well.

closing out sets and good waves between them

The life guard test for the Honolulu City County was today at Ala Moana beach at 9 am
and
it was directed by life guard lieutenant and bodysurfer legend Mark Cunningham.
.
It will select 12 out of 50 that showed up today.
It lasted over 3 hours and it started with:
1000 meters running and 1000 swimming back
(max. time: 25 mins)

than they had to paddle 400 meters in less than 4 minutes

Bodyboarders legends:
Ben Severson, Fred Both &
Jamie Sterling(Eddie Aikau invited) were there and
they did really good
Sterling was focus
They finished with sprints of:
100 meters run/100m swim/100m run in less than 3 minutes

My "gatinho" was 7 th place in the 1000 meters run/1000 swim,
and first after 100run/100swim
Go lindo...

They will be hired immediately for a full time job in the Summer.

Maybe I will try next time.

About surf:
it should be small tomorrow, but fun with 2 to 3+ feet waves.
The forecasters are expecting lots of rain for the next couple of days and
maybe strong Southeast winds.

It was just one of "those" days in paradise...
