Slow surf in Hawaii for Sunday !!
Aloha everyone!!
Not much today around the all island.
East side tops the list with 2
to 4 feet(faces) windswell.
Trades are strong today expected
to weaken mid next week to light to moderate levels.
A Southwest swell is expected to
arrive this week, affecting South and West facing shores beginning Tuesday.
This swell is expected to be below
the South Shore advisory level of 8 feet.
The climatological average based
on 1968-2002
for the first double overhead swell
on North Shores for the new season is September 17th (+/- 9 days).
For high surf levels (15 feet face),
the average is September 29th (+/- 12 days).
The first Waimea day (25+ face)
averages to November 11th (+/- 28 days)(Pat Caldwell).
