Small bump for the North Shore !!
Aloha everybody!!
North Shore had a small bump today
with 1 to 3 feet better early morning and afternoon.
Very raining day with heavy showers
at night and off and on during the all day.
This wet weather with heavy clouds
made the tradewinds really light and
awesome glassy surfing conditions
(I wish it was a bit bigger).
The surfing forecasters are expecting
the very first North Shore swell by the end of next week.
Couple of tiny swells are expected
one for the South Shore on Monday and one for the North Shore on Tuesday.
Surf should just get better around
here from now on.

"The climatological average
based on 1968-2002
for the first double overhead swell
on North Shores for the new season is September 17th (+/- 9 days).
For high surf levels (15 feet face),
the average is September 29th (+/- 12 days).
The first Waimea day (25+ face)
averages to November 11th (+/- 28 days)(Pat Caldwell)."
"No matter how we choose
to go into the water,
whether it is surfing big waves,
surfing small waves, sailing, canoeing or swimming.
It is important that we can enjoy
ourselves and find peace(Clyde Aikau)."
