Small waves on the North Shore !!
Aloha !!
It was good for a change to surf
a bit bigger waves today.
1 to 3 feet on the North Shore,
little bit bigger just around the corner on the way to the East side.
Not many places breaking yet due
to lots of sand around.
Not much is expected for all shores
beside these small waves on the 1 to 3 feet range for the next several
days.
There are active systems on the
North Pacific, but maybe not strong enough to reach Hawaii.
We should see if it could happen
in the next few days.
Tradewind is suppose to get lighter
for the weekend.
Laniakea is always the best place
once the reef is never covered up with sand
.
Sunset point had some waves, but
small and inconsistent
V-Land was fun
Just another beautiful day in paradise
waiting for real surf
.
"The climatological average
based on 1968-2002
for the first double overhead swell
on North Shores for the new season is September 17th (+/- 9 days).
For high surf levels (15 feet face),
the average is September 29th (+/- 12 days).
The first Waimea day (25+ face)
averages to November 11th (+/- 28 days)(Pat Caldwell)."
"No matter how we choose
to go into the water,
whether it is surfing big waves,
surfing small waves, sailing, canoeing or swimming.
It is important that we can enjoy
ourselves and find peace(Clyde Aikau)."
