Tiny surf on the North Shore, but
getting bigger for the next couple of days!!

Aloha with good news !!

About 1 to 1 1/2 foot surf today on the North Shore,
and getting bigger for tomorrow.
A small North, Northwest swell is expected to arrive tomorrow through Wednesday,
reaching up to 2 to 4 feet waves.
The wind today was light variable and
the surf conditions were very glassy in the morning and on shore afternoon.
The wind should became light to moderate South, Southwest in the next couple of days
return to the normal tradewinds patterns by the end of the week.
Good news with this small swell for the next days, even better news for next week:
the very first larger swell should bump the surf for Northwestern shores as early as the beginning of the week.
We here to see...

"The climatological average based on 1968-2002
for the first double overhead swell on North Shores for the new season is September 17th (+/- 9 days).
For high surf levels (15 feet face), the average is September 29th (+/- 12 days).
The first Waimea day (25+ face) averages to November 11th (+/- 28 days)(Pat Caldwell)."
