Small surf !!
Aloha everyone !!
Surf has dropped drastically today.
About 1 foot everywhere with maybe
2 feet waves in certain spots, but not very consistent.
Same weather patterns, cloud skies,
sticky and muggy
with light variable winds, glassy
morning and on shore afternoon.
Get your guns out,
late Sunday into Monday we are
going to see the very first "swell"
on the North Shore.
Forecasters are expecting it to
be just below advisory levels of 15 feet.
The North Pacific has seen an increase
in storm activity over the past week
so it should bring good surf to
Hawaii often from now on.

"The climatological average
based on 1968-2002
for the first double overhead swell
on North Shores for the new season is September 17th (+/- 9 days).
For high surf levels (15 feet face),
the average is September 29th (+/- 12 days).
The first Waimea day (25+ face)
averages to November 11th (+/- 28 days)(Pat Caldwell)."
"No matter how we choose
to go into the water,
whether it is surfing big waves,
surfing small waves, sailing, canoeing or swimming.
It is important that we can enjoy
ourselves and find peace(Clyde Aikau)."
