Surf's up !!
Aloha !!
Surf was going off today.
Nothing big, solid 4 feet waves,
glassy conditions with light tradewinds and sunny skies.
It is good actually to start "lighter"
like this to warm up for the big waves.
But, hurry up the big swells are
just around the corner.
Tomorrow there could be a reinforcement
for this swell, and
a larger Northwest swell, possibly
reaching the North Shore advisory level of 15 feet
will arrive Wednesday and Thursday.

based on 1968-2002
for the first double overhead swell
on North Shores for the new season is September 17th (+/- 9 days).
For high surf levels (15 feet face),
the average is September 29th (+/- 12 days).
The first Waimea day (25+ face)
averages to November 11th (+/- 28 days)(Pat Caldwell)."
