Small surf today !!!

Aloha everyone !!

Much smaller surf today on the North Shore,
2 to 3 feet still very North swell direction with, again, glassy conditions in the morning,
light variable winds on the middle of the day,
and fortunately & finally we had tradewinds back by late afternoon.
Nice, sunny all day.
The reinforcement on this North swell we were expecting for today should be due by tomorrow
keeping the surf on the small to medium range for the entire week.
A moderate to large Northwest swell, which could reach just below advisory levels,
may reach the Hawaiian islands by this weekend.
A couple of South swells are expected to hit the town side this week as well.
We are at the beach, why aren't you???

"The climatological average based on 1968-2002
for the first double overhead swell on North Shores for the new season is September 17th (+/- 9 days).
For high surf levels (15 feet face), the average is September 29th (+/- 12 days).
The first Waimea day (25+ face) averages to November 11th (+/- 28 days)(Pat Caldwell)."
