Tiny and messy surfing in the morning,
solid in the afternoon.

Aloha everyone !!

Surf started today very small on the North Shore,
1 to 2 feet left over of the North swell, messy conditions in the morning.
In the afternoon, there was solid 4 feet waves on certain spots,
better tide and wind conditions with this all new North swell.
There should be some surf for tomorrow on the 2 to 4 feet range.
The big expectations are for the large Northwest swell this weekend,
which could reach just the North Shore advisory levels, 10 to 12 feet (always hawaiian).
It is Winter time and soon the pro surfing contests will begin:
The first of all is the 20th Annual Xcel Pro on October 28th at Sunset Beach followed by
the 21st Annual Triple Crown of Surfing starting November 12th
with the VANS Hawaiian Pro and Roxy Pro at Haleiwa Ali'i Beach Park.
Lots of action.

"The climatological average based on 1968-2002
for the first double overhead swell on North Shores for the new season is September 17th (+/- 9 days).
For high surf levels (15 feet face), the average is September 29th (+/- 12 days).
The first Waimea day (25+ face) averages to November 11th (+/- 28 days)(Pat Caldwell)."
