Aloha !!!
Surf was small today, very North
direction and extremely windy.
Tradewinds were and will be roaring
for this all week
rising the surf along the East
shores.
Not much waves this week, but
lots of happenings on the North
Shore for the next couple of months:
The 21st Annual Triple Crown of
Surfing will star November 12th
with the VANS Hawaiian Pro and
Roxy Pro at Haleiwa Ali'i Beach Park.
The QUICKSILVER IN MEMORY OF EDDIE
AIKAU BIG WAVE EVENT at
Waimea Bay, North Shore, Oahu will
have its
opening ceremony on Thursday, December
4, 2003, at 3pm at Waimea Bay beach park.
The holding period goes from December
5, 2003 to February 28, 2004.
The event will be held on one day
when surf measures at least 20 feet (40 foot faces).

based on 1968-2002
for the first double overhead swell
on North Shores for the new season is September 17th (+/- 9 days).
For high surf levels (15 feet face),
the average is September 29th (+/- 12 days).
The first Waimea day (25+ face)
averages to November 11th (+/- 28 days)(Pat Caldwell)."
