Strong tradewinds dominating the
weather and surf patterns for the entire week.
Today, the waves on the North Shore
were coming fully from North, Northeast and very windy.
Not much is expected to be change
until the end of this week into next week.
The 21st Annual Triple Crown of
Surfing will star tomorrow November 12th
with the VANS Hawaiian Pro and
Roxy Pro at Haleiwa Ali'i Beach Park.
The QUICKSILVER IN MEMORY OF EDDIE
AIKAU BIG WAVE EVENT at
Waimea Bay, North Shore, Oahu was
announced couple of days ago and it will have its
opening ceremony on Thursday, December
4, 2003, at 3 pm at Waimea Bay beach park.
The holding period goes from December
5, 2003 to February 28, 2004.
The event will be held on one day
when surf measures at least 20 feet (40 foot faces).

based on 1968-2002
for the first double overhead swell
on North Shores for the new season is September 17th (+/- 9 days).
For high surf levels (15 feet face),
the average is September 29th (+/- 12 days).
The first Waimea day (25+ face)
averages to November 11th (+/- 28 days)(Pat Caldwell)."
