Epic surfing for the Vans Haleiwa Pro.

If you go back on the last year's news and check it out the conditions of the Haleiwa event last year,
you will not believe how bad it was...
This year, we had so far three days and a half of competition and
there wasn't a single day with bad waves or conditions.
Everyday had awesome surfing and incredible performances.
Today, best shows go to hawaiians,
Haleiwa veteran Sunny Garcia with highest heat score of the event to date with 17.17 points and
19 year old rookie Nathan Carroll.
Upsets : three times world champion Andy Irons (Kauai),
all time best surfer Tom Curren (USA),
defending Vans Hawaiian Pro champion Troy Brooks (Australia) and
Haleiwa's favorite son Fred Patacchia were eliminated.
