High Surf Advisory still in effect for all the Hawaiian Islands !!

Huge surf today on the North Shore.
Massive waves in the 15 to 20 feet range and picking up.
The 9:00 pm buoy #51001 is showing 23.3 feet, 20 seconds.
It is going to be 25 feet tonight, so watch out as you drive along the Kam Hwy.
The wind was West, Southwest, straight on shore. Currents were tough.
Conditions were not good and it was dangerous.
The  Rip Curl Cup at Sunset Beach, second jewel of the
Vans Triple Crown of Surfing on the North Shore,
tried to run their first round of the main event with 12 feet in the morning but,
it didn't go to far with each set coming
bigger and bigger to the point that started to closed out
the channels and they postponed for the day.

Surf should be just about huge tomorrow again and
the wind is supposed to turn to Southeast, off shore.

Waimea today was dangerous

At 1:00 pm there was a closing out set  and it washed everybody.
There was couple of guys without boards and the lifeguards had to paddle out to rescue them.
