Another day with epic conditions for the Triple Crown of Surfing.

The second jewel of the DEFINITELY BLESSED 2004 Vans Triple Crown of Surfing,
the O'Neill World Cup of Surfing,
had the second day of competition today at Sunset beach with 6 to 10 feet,
Northwest swell, moderate to strong tradewinds and sunny skies.
Another beautiful day of surfing conditions and
it keeps getting better and better...
Lots of heavy waves and
positioning & competition skills were the key to advance the heats today.
Highlight of the day:
Vans Hawaiian Pro Haleiwa champion and five time Vans Triple Crown of Surfing champion,
Sunny Garcia posted  one of the highest heat scores of this third round.
Other heat winners today included Marcus Hickman, Brian Pacheco, Daniel Jones and Ian Walsh(Hawaii), David Weare (South Africa), Pablo Gutierrez (Spain), Mikael Picon (France), Fabio Gouveia, Yuri Sodre' and Bernardo Pigmeu(Brazil), Masatoshi Ohno (Japan) and Bede Durbidge, Adam Robertson and Daniel Ross (Australia).
Surf's supposed to remain around eight feet and the third day of competition could happen tomorrow.
Next round will have top seeds including world champion Andy Irons (Hawaii) and
former world champion Kelly Slater (Florida).
