Dirty water, flat surf and lots of rain again !!!

Surf and weather were very bad today,
it was just about flat, maybe one foot in certain spots, on shore, dirty water and
heavy rain off and on all day long.
The US$250.000 Rip Curl Cup at Sunset Beach was postponed.
A new Northwest swell is expected to tomorrow afternoon.
This swell will continuous through Wednesday.
A second, but smaller swell, this time from the North, Northwest direction,
will arrive Wednesday and persist through Thursday.
Friday with the arrival of a third swell from the North, Northwest
surf should increase to advisory levels heights.
The second jewel of the Triple Crown should happen any day.
Firecasting is looking good for Wednesday.
There are two more exciting days to go.

TRIPLE CROWN OF SURFING RESULTS:

TRIPLE CROWN OF SURFING SCHEDULE:

The 21st Annual Triple Crown of Surfing officially started
November 12th through December 20th.
The VANS Hawaiian Pro and Roxy Pro at Haleiwa Ali'i Beach Park waiting period
goes from November 12th through 23th.
The Rip Curl Pro at Sunset Beach goes from November 24th through December 7th.
With less than 650 points separating six time Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP)
world champion Kelly Slater (Florida) and reigning champ Andy Irons (Hawaii),
all eyes are pointing to a possible showdown at the Xbox Gerry Lopez Pipeline Masters,
December 8th through 20th at Banzai Pipeline.
The Pipeline Masters is the world's longest running (33 years) and
most prestigious pro surfing competition,
and the finale of the $750,000 Vans Triple Crown of Surfing("Ocean Promotion").

EDDIE AIKAU BIG WAVE EVENT:

Another huge event scheduled for the next couple of months is
the QUICKSILVER IN MEMORY OF EDDIE AIKAU BIG WAVE EVENT at Waimea Bay.
The opening ceremony is on Thursday, December 4, 2003, at 3 pm at Waimea Bay beach park.
The holding period goes from December 5, 2003 to February 28, 2004.
The event will be held on one day when surf measures at least 20 feet (40 foot faces).

for the first double overhead swell on North Shores for the new season is September 17th (+/- 9 days).
For high surf levels (15 feet face), the average is September 29th (+/- 12 days).
