Aloha !!

Smaller surf, 3 to 5 feet today on the North Shore,
still mostly coming from North, a bit of Northwest in it
with very strong tradewinds and sunny skies.
The ocean water was pretty dirty/brown due to all the rain from yesterday.
The Xbox Gerry Lopez Pipeline Master,
final event of the Triple Crown of Surfing and last event of the ASP world tour
was postponed today.
Not good enough surfing for the final event of the tour and decision of the world title.
Current world champion Andy Irons, Hawaii and
6 times world champion and current ratings leader Kelly Slater, Florida
promise to be a good shown on the race for the 2003 ASP world surfing title.
A new, small Northwest swell is expected for tomorrow and a bigger one by Thursday.
The wind is supposed to be strong for couple more days calming down just on time
for the big swell on the second half of the week.

TRIPLE CROWN OF SURFING RESULTS:

TRIPLE CROWN OF SURFING SCHEDULE:

The 21st Annual Triple Crown of Surfing officially started
November 12th through December 20th.
The first event was the VANS Hawaiian Pro and Roxy Pro at Haleiwa Ali'i Beach Park,
its waiting period was from November 12th through 23th.
The Rip Curl Pro at Sunset Beach's, second event,
waiting period was from November 24th through December 7th.
The Xbox Pipeline Masters is the world's longest running event (33 years),
most prestigious pro surfing competition in the world
and the finale of the $750,000 Vans Triple Crown of Surfing.
Its waiting period goes from December 8th until the 20th.

EDDIE AIKAU BIG WAVE EVENT:

The opening ceremony for the QUICKSILVER IN MEMORY OF EDDIE AIKAU BIG WAVE EVENT
 was December 4, 2003 at Waimea Bay beach park.
The holding period goes from December 5, 2003 to February 28, 2004.
The event will be held on one day when surf measures at least 20 feet (40 foot faces).

For high surf levels (15 feet face), the average is September 29th (+/- 12 days).
