Large surf for the Pipeline trials !!

Today, we had the trials at Pipeline to choose the best two guys to take the
 two remaining wildcard spots into the Rip Curl Pro Pipeline Masters.
Hawaiian Mikey Bruneau won with young  Brazilian Bruno Santos from Itacoatiara in second.
Surf was on the 6 o 10 feet range, North, Northwest direction with mostly good winds but,
still lots of sand around providing some back washing and close out waves.
The final event for the World Championship Tour (WCT) ratings,
the $260,000 Rip Curl Pro Pipeline Masters should get underway tomorrow, surfing and weather permitting.
Lots of activities on the North Pacific with couple of large swells on Hawaii's way for the weekend.

2nd)Bruno Santos (Brazil) impressed everybody with his committed drops and tube riding skills

3rd)Brian Pacheco (Hawaii) scored a 9.33 Backdoor barrel this morning

4th)Shane Dorian (Hawaii) scored a 9.6 in the quarterfinals

Lots of wipe outs, 8 broken surfboards but nobody hurt at the end of the day
Brazilian Bruno Santos showed some swimming skills as well

Mark Healey (Hawaii) earned the highest combined total of the day with 17.23 points, two waves counting
