6 to 8 feet surf with awesome conditions !!
Good waves for the first day of
the Xbox Gerry Lopez Pipeline Master,
final event of the Triple Crown
of Surfing and last event of the ASP world tour.
6 to 8 feet Northwest swell, light
tradewinds and pretty sunny day.
Good surfers + good barrels = awesome
contest.
Pipeline is definitely the best
place to have a surf contest.

Highlights of the day go to:
- the hawaiians took the nine wild
cards of the trials to the main event:
Marcus Hickman, Bruce Irons,
Fred Patacchia, Jamie O'Brien,
Pancho Sullivan, Derek Ho, Kalani
Chapman, Brian Pacheco and Jonah Morgan.
Best performances:
Bruce Irons, 2001 Pipeline champion,
with the best score of the day
scoring 17.60 with two waves counting out of 20 possible and
Marcus Hickman with a 10 point
wave after advanced the trials with the ninth slot,
advanced the first round of the
main event in first place with the best wave of the day.
On Maui, in the final event of
the ASP Women's World Championship Tour, the Billabong Pro,
Australian Layne Beachley won her
sixth consecutive world title after Keala Kennelly, Hawaii
was eliminated in the semi-finals.

tomorrow with
a new Northwest swell expected
to start to build tonight.
Another swell is expected
by Tuesday and Wednesday.

TRIPLE CROWN OF SURFING SCHEDULE:
The 21st Annual Triple Crown of
Surfing officially started
November 12th through December
20th.
The first event was the VANS Hawaiian
Pro and Roxy Pro at Haleiwa Ali'i Beach Park,
its waiting period was from November
12th through 23th.
The Rip Curl Pro at Sunset Beach's,
second event,
waiting period was from November
24th through December 7th.
The Xbox Pipeline Masters is the
world's longest running event (33 years),
most prestigious pro surfing competition
in the world
and the finale of the $750,000
Vans Triple Crown of Surfing.
Its waiting period goes from December
8th until the 20th.
EDDIE AIKAU BIG WAVE EVENT:
The opening ceremony for the QUICKSILVER
IN MEMORY OF EDDIE AIKAU BIG WAVE EVENT
was December 4, 2003 at Waimea
Bay beach park.
The holding period goes from December
5, 2003 to February 28, 2004.
The event will be held on one day
when surf measures at least 20 feet (40 foot faces).
