HAWAIIAN THOUGHTS:

"The climatological average based on 1968-2002
for the first double overhead swell on North Shores for the new season is September 17th (+/- 9 days).
For high surf levels (15 feet face), the average is September 29th (+/- 12 days).
The first Waimea day (25+ face) averages to November 11th (+/- 28 days)(Pat Caldwell)."

"No matter how we choose to go into the water,
whether it is surfing big waves, surfing small waves, sailing, canoeing or swimming.
It is important that we can enjoy ourselves and find peace(Clyde Aikau)."
