Epic surf for the first day of the Rip Curl Pipeline Master !!
Surf dropped a bit from yesterday
and
it was epic in the morning with
6 to 8 feet, A frames breaking to Back Door and Pipeline.
The West, Northwest swell dropped
a lot during the day but, on the other hand
the light winds held on all day
providing some ripable,
competitive surfing conditions.
Six time world champion Kelly Slater
(Florida, USA) dominated round one
posting a combined tally of two
waves 19.1 points out of 20.
