There is surf, but
the bad weather is reigning !!

This is my 17th Pipeline event and my winter season in Hawaii and
I have never seen this conditions to prevail for this long.
Has been what? Six weeks with bad surfing and weather??
I have seen it rain, but this is the worst I have ever known of.
The surfing is improving.
There was a bump yesterday from the new Northwest swell and it looks beautiful coming from Northwest
waking up some of the North Shore spots that have been dormant with all that North, Northeast swells.
The big problem here now is that it is raining, again, for over three days,
after all the torrential rain and flooded conditions we had from last week's bad weather.
The ground is saturated and is flooding again and quicker.
There is hope: the surfing and weather forecasters are positive for the weekend.
It is risky but, we could still score on two full days of event with 4 days waiting period to go.
The low pressure should pass the islands tonight into tomorrow clearing up the skies for the weekend.
On the surf side, another decent Northwest swell is expected on Monday and Tuesday,
the very last two days of the waiting period.
You better be there !!

Back Door has been fun for the past couple of days.

Pipeline has some fun rides in the afternoon and believe or not nobody was out.

Laniakea had the worst water conditions. It was chocolate.
