First Winter time swell started to show on the North Shore.

 

Early today surf was very tiny, but
the 8 a.m. buoy was showing already a solid Winter swell with 7 feet, 19 seconds.
After 3 p.m. we could see bigger waves coming in set after set and
by the end of the day it was reaching 8 to 10 feet in certain spots.
Consider the buoy observations with a high second reading as 19 seconds we would think this swell would be a bit cleaner,
but conditions were a bit choppy with strong tradewinds.
Now, the night readings show higher swell and a bit lower seconds, 8.9 feet, 17 seconds, so tomorrow
this swell should be anywhere around 6 to 10 feet lasting, but dropping to Friday and a bit better conditions with the wind supposedly to be on the lighter side.
Another, much smaller Northwest swell is expected for the weekend and
a South swell should start to hit the town shores late tomorrow into the weekend.

Pipeline is all sand still, but this swell is starting to clean it up.
