6 to 8 feet for the start of the O'Neill World Cup at Sunset
Pretty good, glassy and consistent 6 to 8 feet surf
for the first day of the second leg of the Triple Crown of Surfing:
The O'Neill World Cup, a 6 stars WQS event of the Association of Surfing Professionals(ASP).
We had seventeen six men heats of 30 minutes each and there were about 35 to 40 waves ridden in every heat.
We saw pretty much all and everything today.
Lots of good rides, lots of good riders.
Highlights for Daniel Ross, Australia with the best score of the day with a 9.8.
Hawaii's Myles Padaca former Sunset champion showing knowledge
Local boy Nathan Carrol advanced two rounds today

This swell should be dropping a bit to tomorrow and they probably will have the
O'Neilll Sunset Challenge for Women, an invitational event with $10,000, but no points for the ASP ratings.
A new large swell should be filling in by late Sunday through Monday and
they should resume the guys round 132 and get into the 96.
